About Amy & Carrie
AMY ROST is the mother of four children including a set of twins. In 2010, her oldest son was diagnosed with a rare degenerative neuromuscular disease called Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA) and caregiving became a fast reality. Amy is passionate about cultivating connection, collaboration and community in all ways. She lives in Cochrane, Alberta Canada and is the owner of ARC Pilates and Creator of Pilates Fest North.
CARRIE MILLER SMACZNY has two children, a daughter that is 12, a son that is nearly 10 and two mini-dachshunds. She is in a multicultural marriage to her German husband of 20 years. She has moved 10 times in 11 years living in Arizona, Southern California and Germany. She loves watching her kids play sports and music. Her parenting motto is “there is always a solution”. Carrie is a fulltime mom and has a part time business: Carrie Miller Pilates is online education platform for teachers focusing on Pilates & Fascia Fitness and teaches private sessions, advanced small group sessions in person at Club Pilates in Paradise Valley, AZ.
